Drilling an oil or gas well is no simple matter, and as viable reservoirs become harder to access, new technology needs to be developed to overcome the problems posed in reaching these hydrocarbon deposits. In this module, we look at a range of drill string components and the roles they play in ensuring the success of a drilling operation.
